Directions:
Step 1: Keep a daily list of your expenses.
Step 2: Group them by category. (i.e. Food, Personal Expenses, ect.)
Step 3: Add up your weekly expenses per category.
Step 4: Multiply each category by 4 because there are 4 weeks within a
month. If you don’t purchase the item/s each week just add the item in as a
monthly expense.
Step 5: Add up your monthly category expenses and add any additional monthly
expenses (i.e. Movie tickets, skates, Tennis Shoes, ect.). If you do not
have any just add zero.
Step 6: This is your totally monthly budget.
Step 7: Divide each category total into the monthly budget to get the
percentage.
Step 8: Using a pie graph, graph the categories according to the
percentages.
Step 9: List the category expenses on the side of the pie graph.

Colorful paper or newspaper

Words on small cards

Directions: For this activity you will need the listed items to complete the
assignment. Reminder the assignment is due Friday, August 24th. Using your
favorite color paper or newspaper cover the outside of the shoebox. On the
outside arrange words, pictures, colors and other items to represent how you
think others view you. On the inside of the box use pictures, words, colors
and other items to represent how you view yourself. Please, only put inside
the box items that truly represent you. Have fun!
