7. No one is allowed to comb hair, put on make-up, perfume or other
such things in class. This is a kitchen and we want it to remain
sanitary.
8. All work must be made up when absent; otherwise you will receive a
zero. It is almost impossible to make up laboratory experience, so
please try to be present on those days.
9. Name must be on all work turned in; otherwise it will be thrown away.
10. Each person will be assigned a book to use while in class, anyone
who writes on or otherwise abuses the books will be asked to pay for
the book.
11. In case I am ever absent, you are expected to behave in an orderly
manner. The substitute will be given a copy of these rules. Anyone
who is disrespectful will receive an F for your conduct grade.
12. The bell does not dismiss you, I do; so remain seated until I say
dismiss at that time you will stand and walk quietly out of the room.
I have read the above classroom rules and I understand that I am expected to
follow them. If I do not follow these rules I understand there will be an
appropriate consequence, which may include the removal of all lab privileges.

Behavior Management Plan
Step 1- Failure to follow a rule will result in a request by the teacher to
the student to follow direction and a verbal warning about proceeding to
step two if the student fails to comply.
Step 2- The student will be “benched” to a designated seat in a
predetermined location with a Think Sheet. The student must complete Think
Sheet to return back to the group.
Step 3- Failure to correct the behavior after step 3 will lead to contacting
the students’ parents and the student will be sent to a pre-designated buddy
room if behavior is not corrected.
Step 4- Continuance negative behavior in the bubby room will lead to an
office visit. At this stage the student will be placed in detention in the
office until the end of the hour or will be placed in ISS for the hour. The
student could also be assigned to OSS depending on the frequency of his/her
discipline problems.
Step 5- Failure to correct negative behavior after all other steps can lead
to the removal of the student from the school.
