| 1.Write an essay. Tell me about your summer, What did you do? Also, I want
to know what you learned in Science last year. Tell me. What do you want
to learn this year. Give me these 3 paragraphs as the body of your work and
then combine with an opening and conclusion to finish your essay.
2. Review your text book once I issue it.
3. Create and organize your Science notebook.
4. Look over the websites on this page and your computer disk if you have a
computer at home.
5. Upon reviewing your text book. Select three sections you would like to
learn more about. Tell me about them individually (1 paragraph each) then
conclude with a paragraph of research about one of them.
6. Using your book or some other refrence material, create a lab for the
class to conduct. You must utilize the scientific method and all parts of a
lab report must be included. ( Problem statement, hypothesis, materials,
procedure, observations-data this can be left blank, conclusion also may be
left blank.
7. Diet Coke and Mentos lab. Complete your write up if you needed
additional time.
8. Write up your Tower Structure lab. Discuss what you learned, how well
you answered your problem statement; were you effective in your group? you
may answer the folloing questions if you need help writing.
A. What was the hardest part of the Lab?
B. What problems did you solve?
C. What changes did you make to your structure?
D. What would you change if you had a chance to construct the tower again?
9. Complete the lab write up for the Bohr models.
10. Design a roller coaster to demonstrate the 3 types of acceleration and
use frictional forces to stop your coaster.
