About The Librarian/Media Specialist

 
I have lived in Orlando since 1984 and share my living space with my family, 
two cats, and a rascally chihuahua named Chino.
 
 My degrees include a Masters of Library and Information Science from the
University of South Florida in Tampa, FL.

My favorite types of literature for relaxation reading are 
fantasy/scifi,poetry, and historical novels. 
Some of my favorite illustrators for children's books are 
Rosemary Wells, Tommy De Paola, Ruth Hellert.
One of my favorite books is Jane Eyer by Charlotte Bronte.

    To inspire and instill an appreciation and love of books and reading , as 
well as guide all students in becoming information literate.  Information 
Literacy is the ability "recognize the extent and nature of an information 
need then locate, evaluate, and ethically and effectively use the needed 
information."
