The children have been working so hard and we are so proud them! In Ms.Wolk's
Language Arts group, we have been focusing on writing complete sentences as
we work on using proper puncuation as well as capitalization. We are also
focusing on various reading comprehension skills. Please be sure you are
reading each night with your child for at least 15 minutes!
**Please also keep in mind that we begin morning journal writing promptly at
8:15. Please try and have your child arrive by 8:10 so he/she can unpack and
be ready to begin at 8:15.
In Ms. Wolk's Math group, we are working on bar graphs as well as pictographs
and tally labels. We have also been focusing on various problem solving
skills related to addition and subtraction. Please continue to reinforce
these skills at home with your child.
In Social Studies we are learning mapping skills as well as the vocabulary
that goes along with these skills.
* The Third Grade team is sponsoring a wonderful project to help recycle
batteries. Please send in your batteries to be recycled! We are collecting
* Our JSA Bookfair was a huge sucess!!! Thanks so much for the wonderful
books donated to our classroom from my wish list! Ths children and I both
appreciate your generosity!!
*PLEASE SEND IN BOX TOPS FOR EDUCATION! We have a container to collect them
in
the classroom!
