Welcome to First grade! I have been teaching the primary grades for the
past eight years. This is my second year at Jacobson Sinai Academy and I am
looking forward to an exciting year! This year you will be amazed at how
much your child will grow! Your child already has the seeds for reading and
writing planted,and during first grade those seeds will grow and blossom,
making your child an accomplished reader and writer! You will see changes in
your child's thinking, as he/she becomes more familiar with abstract
concepts as I continually work on reasoning, critical thinking, and problem
solving skills. The changes will be dramatic---just compare a tiny seed with
a full grown flower! That is the kind of growth you will see throughout the
year.
