Garfinkle Center for Jewish Values

The Garfinkle Center for Jewish Values is a fund established by Marla and David Garfinkle in 2004 to support the implementation of the Jewish values curriculum at JSA. The Garfinkle curriculum is designed to integrate Jewish values (midot) into both our studies and daily lives, and to involve the students in meaningful social action projects. Our goal is to teach the children that they can make a positive impact on other people, their communities, and the world in small and big ways. We want to work jointly with each family to impart to our children the joy of giving to others through action.   Each grade focuses on a specific value, while integrating all midot daily.

Grade 2 will focus on Kindness to animals - tza’ar ba’alei chayim

A copy of the curriculum is available to you upon request. We encourage you to follow up at home with the value your child is focusing on in school, and share with us any related experiences. More information, as well as specific projects, will follow. Thank you in advance for your support.
