| Mr. Livingstone’s Weekly Homework Schedule 2008-2009
******** Parents I realize that the homework logs have been a little
different then I had originally stated. This is due to challenges with
getting photocopies made on time which I have little control over. Also the
short weeks require me to adjust the homework according to the material we
ONLY cover in class. *****************************************
A. Parents this homework log is an approximate schedule of what is due
nightly
B. Incomplete work may not be counted. In the event a student is sick, they
will have 1 day from the time they come back to school to make up that
homework.
C.Every Friday except for short weeks there will be a vocabulary
quiz ( see vocabulary words for the week.) Every OTHER Friday there will be
a spelling quiz with 10 words. QUIZ DATE #1:
D. EVERY week a writing assignment “prompt” is due on THURSDAY. Your child
will be given the topic in advance on the PREVIOUS FRIDAY to work on it over
the weekend and through the week. It will be collected and graded.

Reading: 30 minutes daily of an Accelerated reader book is required by the
school and the district. You can either read to him/her or have
them read to you. Asking questions about their reading will enhance
comprehension. Reading increases vocabulary,fluency and phonics which are
all indicators of school success. As a last resort you can also have your
