Parent Home Learning

Your busy schedule is respected. The more time you invest in your
child's education, the more your child will learn to value it. The following
are suggested activities for parents to complete. Remember, you are the
perfect role model your child is willing to emulate. After you have
completed the limited requirements for the week, have your child grade your
performance for each activity on a scale from 1 to 3.
1=  Needs Improvement  2=  Satisfactory    3=  Excellent

LOS PADRES DE HABLA HISPANA DEBERÁN DE COMPLETAR ESTOS DEBERES EN ESPAÑOL.
Sharing your results with others is up to the discrepancy of your child.

SELECT TWO ACTIVITIES TO COMPLETE THIS WEEK:
Read a short story to your son or daughter.
Teach your child to make a dinner dish. Discuss following a recipe and
implement together.
Describe/discuss 5 reasons why you are grateful for having your child in
your life.
Listen to your child's favorite song and discuss the lyrics.
Do the same activity above, this time talk about why the composer wrote the
song?
Play a board game for 20 minutes of his/her choice.
Learn from or teach your child a dance step.
Pick a new, unfamiliar word, for the week, and use it at least once, daily
in your conversations.
Tell your son/daughter a joke.
Take a walk around your neighborhood and just talk.
Find out what really makes your son/daughter mad, happy, sad, and nervous.
Together, send an email to someone you both know... hint, hint Ms. Scheel
loves to receive emails.
