How much math is involved in a chemistry class?

Chemistry is a math based science so we use algebra and other
math skills daily. Students should have completed Algebra I as a

calculator every day.

Is it important to have an organized notebook?

Chemistry is a very cumulative course so it is very important to
have an organized notebook. Students can set up their notebooks
with tabs for the sections listed on the syllabus and place
papers in the notebook as we work through each unit. There will
be graded notebook checks.
