Chorus Rehearsals Lakeview's 4th and 5th graders can join Chorus and/or Violin Ensemble if they want to. They work hard together and enjoy some amazing experiences like this performance at The Magic Kingdom on May 10, 2008. Don't they look happy? You should see their parents' faces!!! |

|
Excitement The singers enjoy showing their parents and the rest of the community what they can do.
They learn and perform music from many cultures. |

|
Singing Along for Fun The audience often sings along to songs that they know from their studies in General Music classes. |

|
Hanerot Halalu & Feliz Navidad Students perform solos, duets, and trios in their concerts, and they often sing in languages other than English. |

Rock Around the Clock WE DO APPRECIATE THE YOUNG MEN IN OUR CHORUS! |

MAY 13, 2006 Lakeview students traveled to Orlando and sang on the Future World West Stage at Epcot. Shelby and many others were soloists in The Lion King Medley. We truly appreciate the way the Lakeview parents support the music education programs at our school. Shelby also led the singing of the National Anthem at Van Wezel when students from all around Sarasota County attended the 2006 Florida West Coast Symphony Children's Concert. |

EPCOT PERFORMANCE When Lakeview's Chorus performed at Epcot, Alexis enjoyed singing a solo. Thanks to the terrific chaperons who went along, all of the students had a marvelous day. All of the children worked hard on the stage and played hard in the park. |

NATIONAL ANTHEM In 2006, Cheyenne and several other talented Lakeview students led the Star-Spangled Banner at our September 14th National Anthem Birthday Celebration.
Can you remember all of the lyrics to our National Anthem? Maybe your child will help you. We have studied them at school, learning the meanings of such robust vocabulary words as dawn, twilight, gleaming, broad, perilous, gallantly, proof, spangled, and banner. |
