MUSIC IN OUR SCHOOLS MONTH

In March each year, music teachers create opportunities
to highlight Music Education . . . . . . .
encouraging recruitment, lifelong music learning,
and community involvement in school music programs.

There are many ways to celebrate MIOSM. One of the ways is the World's Largest Concert, or WLC. It happens each year on the second Thursday in March at 1 p.m.  The 2009 Worlds Largest Concert was March 12th. All Lakeview students, kindergarten through fifth grade, joined in with children around the world to sing the same songs at the same time.  It gets bigger every year.  That's how it can be called the largest concert in the world.
