Behavior ExpectationsDear Parents,
In order to help provide my students with an excellent educational climate all students are expected to behave in an acceptable manner. I believe that success in life depends on self-discipline. In our classroom we will have a plan to encourage this.
Classroom Rules (Observable Behaviors) 1. Be Responsible a. Come ready and prepare to learn each and every day. b. Bring in your supplies, homework, and positive attitude. c. Follow directions 2. Be Respectful a. Raise your hand to speak. b. Be kind and polite to others. c. Always remain silent in line. 3. Be Safe Stay in your seat at all times. b. Keep your hands, feet, and other objects to yourself. c. No Rocking in chairs
Incentives/Rewards For all of our actions, there are reactions. 1. Reward System POSITIVE Reactions (rewards), students shall receive: praise, notes, free time, go shopping (at our Classroom store), and other extra privileges. In addition, if students remain in the Cool Cats Club, the student will receive additional “Cat Cash” to be used at our monthly “Briar Patch Store” NEGATIVE Reactions (consequences), shall occur in steps for individual students on a given day. Students will be fined, using their “Cat Cash” money as follows: 1. Noise Pollution $2.00 2. Littering $3.00 3. Loitering $3.00 4. No Homework $5.00 5. Infraction of a class/ $10.00 school rule Consequences are: 1. Loss of Lion Loot, or Cat Cash 2. Cool off time/Time out of class 3. Note home 4. Parent Conference 5. Call to the Office
2. Our second reward system is called The Fuzzy Wuzzy Ball System. This is a group effort. All teams have their basket in which different colored Fuzzy Wuzzy balls are put in depending on their group effort throughout the day. They can work together too make sure they are following directions and helping each other out, or they can penalize their group as well. At the end of the week, which ever team has the most "Fuzzies" wins and will have lunch with Ms. Figgy.
