All important papers from
school that need to be sent home can be found in this section, such as graded
classwork & tests, Mrs. Vensko's classroom newsletter, monthly school
calendar, lunch menu, etc. Please be sure to look in this section daily and
read this infomation. You may keep these papers at home for a reference.
Please empty this section EACH night.

All money and notes from
home should be placed here (field trips, book orders, lunch money, etc.).
Please put money in a sealed envelope with your child's name and purpose for
money. This helps me keep the money organized and ensures a safe arrival to
school.

All homework
assignments can be found here. When your child completes an assignment, it
should be placed here to ensure a safe return to school! Also, the monthly
reading log should remain in this pocket. Your child is required to read for
100 minutes each week and record his/her reading on this log.

Our classroom rules and
discipline plan can be found in the front sleeve. On back of the rules, you
will find the daily behavior recording sheet. This is where your child will
color his/her behavior in school. This should be filled out every day. I also
keep a weekly sheet for my own files. Please check this sheet EACH day and
sign it. Feel free to write comments if you'd like. Your support is needed and
is greatly appreciated!

Communication"

Here you will find
notebook paper that will be used for home/school communication. Please check
this section daily for notes from me. If you need to write me a note, please
use this paper and be sure to date it. Remind your child that this paper
should ONLY be used for parent(s) and teacher. Please leave the notes
written in this section so that we can look back and remember any
communications that we have had. Please "train" your child to tell me when
there is a note in the notebook from you.
