Homework in Mrs. Vensko's second grade...
* is used to help teach your child
responsibility.
* will ALWAYS be practice or
review of a skill previously taught in the classroom.
* should not take your child longer than
25 minutes total each night. If homework is taking your child longer, please
let me know so that we can discuss the problem.
* will be assigned each day, except for
Wednesday and Friday, UNLESS your child is making up work from an absence. Reading
is required on Wednesday night and over the weekend (15 minutes minimum).
* should include studying spelling words,
reading orally to someone, and completing the assigned practice page. A monthly
reading log will be sent home at the beginning of each month. Students
are required to read orally to a family member each night for a minimum
of 15 minutes. After reading, students should record required information
on the reading log. All reading logs need to be turned in to Mrs. Vensko on
the last school day of the month.
* can be found in your child’s H.O.B.O.
binder (homework section).
* is expected to be completed and returned
the following day in the
H.O.B.O. (homework section).

as a member of the "Homework Club". Members of the "homework club" will be
able to eat a special lunch with Mrs. Vensko in the classroom on the last
