I would like to say a special welcome to our student teacher, Miss Kimberly Walker from Northwest Florida State College. Miss Walker will begin student teaching in our classroom on January 6th and will work with us until April 30th. The students and I are very excited to have Miss Walker share in our learning! I hope to make this the best teaching experience for you yet! I know that you will love working with my wonderful students!
Here are pictures from our Christmas celebration! Thank you to the following parents for helping out with our Christmas Craft Day: Mrs. Bundrick, Mrs. Brooks, Mrs. Stevens, and Mrs. Henley. We had so much fun making all of our crafts!! Thanks to all parents for supplying goodies for our party. What a great way to begin the holiday season together! Enjoy the slideshow!
Our class is participating in a Gingerbread Man Exchange with other second grade classes from all across America! It has been so exciting to receive gingerbread friends and facts from other states! Boy are we learning alot about our great country! In addition, we have been researching our home state of Florida and learned so much about Florida's symbols and flag! Here are some of the gingerbread that we decorated for our friends from across the USA! Can you tell what we dressed them as? ---Mickey & Minnie Mouse and Seminole Indians! Some students even chose to decorate their gingerbread as a Florida Gators football player or a beachbum. Enjoy the pictures and be sure to check back soon for more pictures of our Gingerbread Exchange!
Here are some pictures from Halloween! Sorry these are so late! We had so much fun during our pumpkin investigation! A special thank you to Matt's mother and grandmother for coming to our classroom and making a spooky spider with us! That was soooo much fun! Another thank you to Mrs. Henley for carving our jack-o-lantern! We voted on a SCARY face for our pumpkin! The roasted seeds tasted so yummy! Enjoy the slideshow!
