READING:
***A.R. points are part of the work habits grade. At least 50% of the
required points need to be earned by progress reports. Students not meeting
their goal for the quarter will not qualify for Renaissance. Please see that
your child reads 20+ minutes at home daily.
SPELLING:
Word lists are sent home with students on Wednesday. Tests are given each
Tuesday.
SRA READING:
We are reading the novel "The Twenty-One Balloons" together in class.
MATHEMATICS:
Please see that your student has mastered basic facts in addition,
subtraction, multiplication, and division. A portion of their grade will be
based on scores received on timed tests given throughout the quarter.
MON - Step-Up 9 and 10 pp. 18-21
TUE - Step-Up 11 pp. 22-23
WED - No math class
THU - Step-Up 12 pp. 24-25
FRI - Step-Up 13 pp. 26-27
SOCIAL STUDIES:
American history lessons will be taught in class. Students will receive
grades on class participation and written work completed at school.
