Feb. 14 - Candy Grams (Brook) Feb. 28 - Lollipop Tree (Petz) March 27 - Ice Pop Day (Schenke)                                                                                                                                                                                      ~“Peace, Run & Fun” Run-a-Thon 2012
Help raise money to purchase the online programs “Ticket to Read” and “Vmath Live” by taking part in the 28th Annual LNS “Peace, Run & Fun” Run-a-Thon on Friday, Feb. 24th. Each K-5 student will receive a Run-a-Thon t-shirt and will run for half an hour during this important fund-raiser. Students are encouraged to obtain as many pledges as possible prior to the event. Look for pledge envelopes & info to come home soon! Prizes: • All students (K-5) will receive a t-shirt. • Exciting prizes to be won at various levels - $5+, $15+, and $100+. • The top producing student in each grade (K-5) will “Rule the School” for the day! The winning students will have the opportunity to shadow teachers & staff and hold a special position at the school for a day. • The top producing class will receive an Ice Cream Party! • The class with the most parent participation will receive a Popcorn Party! • The student in each grade who runs the most laps will be awarded time in the Lightning Lounge for themselves and 3 friends to play Wii!! • The OVERALL top producing student will receive the grand prize, a Kindle Reader! **In the event of a tie the Run-A-Thon committee has sole discretion to decide tie breaker**

We are inviting you to become part of this important event! New Box Top contest "Failure is not an option" begins Monday, February 6!  Prizes are a tribute to the NASA program.  Space Shuttle gift packs will be given away every Monday starting Feb. 6 through April 30.  Clip Box Tops from your favorite products.  Bring them to your teacher (your name MUST be on bag).  You will be entered in the drawing.  Liste for name of winners on Monday Morning News.  Grand Prize awarded on Monday, May 4th - Zero Gravity Pen (writes upside down and under water) PLUS $20 Wal-mart gift card.  Class with most Box Tops wins a party!!  Please keep saving those Box Tops!
