Learners Today ~ Leaders Tomorrow
Updated on 2/12
"You're in Charge"
Be Proactive! You're in charge of you. Make good choices every day all day. Please remember to get to school on time. We start our day promptly at 8:35. Don't forget to bring in box tops and can tabs for our class. Every one can be a Liberty Leader!
"Have a Plan"
Wow! Time flies when we are having fun. Thank you so much for your help with monthly family projects. The children enjoy creating these projects together. Please make sure to have your Valentine boxes in no later than Monday, February 13th. I am so proud of all the children. This month we will be learning about groundhogs, presidents, and dental health awareness. We continue to work with reading and writing daily. You may have heard some of your children mention our special visitors this week and the upcoming weeks. I am very honored to have been selected as one of Charlotte County's five finalists for Teacher of the Year. We will have several members of the selection board visiting our room to see how wonderful my kindergarten students are in class. I think the children are just as excited as I am about this wonderful experience. We will celebrate our success at this year's Teacher of the Year Celebration on February 15th at the cultural center. Please contact me if you would like more information or visit the Charlotte County Public Schools webpage.
"Work first, then play"
We have been working very hard in kindergarten. We have learned several lifetime words over the last few weeks. Please make sure that your child is able to read the words and sentences on their nightly homework. It is very important that they practice the skills on the homework page at least three times per week.
"Everyone can win"
My goal is to provide your child with a positive learning experience. Together as a team we can allow your child to work to his or her highest potential. It is a Win Win for everyone involved. Communication is very important. Please make sure to check your child's folder daily.
"Listen before you talk"
I feel that communication is key to a successful school year. Please feel free to ask questions or contact me with any concerns or suggestions. I would love my expectations to be understood by all involved.
"Together is Better"
I want to instill a love of learning in my classroom. I build a community of trust and respect in our class. I look forward to providing my students with opportunities to work together for academic and soc
ial
success.
"Balance i
s Best"
Take time to enjoy your family. Play games, read books, and take care of your mind and
body.
