My name is Grace Shepard. I earned my Bachelor's degree in Elementary
Education with an ESOL Endorsement in April of 2005, from Florida Gulf Coast
University. I am currently working on my Master's Degree in Educational
Leadership at USF. I love teaching Kindergarten. I have
taught Kindergarten for 6 years. I have been with the Liberty family for the
last 5 years. I am currently a member of our PBS(positive behavior support)
team, Leader in Me Committee, SSP (student success plan)/Title 1 planning
team, Principal's Designee on the PPC (Partnership Performance Committee),
Kindergarten Team Leader and a member of the Relay for Life team. I am so
excited to start my seventh year of teaching Kindergarten. I know that the
2011-2012 school year is going to be fantastic!
I have two wonderful children of my own, Chase age 13 who will be in the
eighth grade at Murdock, and Madison age 9, who will be entering fourth
grade. I have an American Bulldog named Elvis and an English Bulldog named
Tebow. I enjoy spending time with my family. I love to dance (especially
Zumba dancing) I am a certified Zumba Instructor. I also enjoy watching my
son play football and my daughter cheer. We are huge Gators fans. (Go
Gators!)! My favorite color is purple, and I love glitter! I also like to
create crafty things for my classroom. Most importantly, I love to teach!
I believe that every child can learn. I want to instill a love of learning
in every child that I teach. I will do my best to provide every student
with a fun, exciting, and safe learning environment. It is my mission to find
each child's special gift.
I want my students to enjoy learning as much as I do. I expect all my
students to try their best with everything that they do. I promise to do my
best with helping all of my students prepare for first grade!
