Reading Lesson #11
  • Story of the week: Loved Best page 306-321 
  • Focus Skill: Plot page 302-303, Using context clues
  • Robust Vocabulary: "Jacob's Journal" page 304-305
  • Phonics and Spelling: Consonants - le syllable

Each Friday your child will be assessed on the story of the week. This assessment will include a section on comprehension which includes a written response question, phonics/spelling, the focus skill, vocabulary, and fluency.


Writing
  • DOL Week 11 (Assessment on Friday)
  • Cursive: Capital Letters U and Y 
  • Thanksgiving Narrative

Math

  • First ten perfect squares
  • Showing 3 and 4 digit numbers using base 10 blocks
  • Subtraction Facts 3 and 4
  • Identifying the missing addend in a some, some more story

Science

  • Chapter 10: Matter and its Properties (page 273-289) 
  • Vocabulary: matter, temperature, mass, volume, property, texture, hardness 

Social Studies

  •  Daily Geography Week 9 "Picturing the United States"
