I have taught at Most Holy Redeemer for twenty-one years. I started
when my three children were in 3rd, 5th,and 8th grades here at M.H.R. They
have since graduated from high school and college and have careers of their
own.The oldest is married,and he and his wife have a seven year old son, a
five year old daughter, and a 22 month old baby boy. I love all of my roles :
wife, mother, grandmother, and teacher!!! I have a BA in
Elementary Education and a Masters Degree in Reading. I taught in the public
schools of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania as a classroom teacher and in Harford
County, Maryland as a Reading Specialist with 4th, 5th, and 6th grade
students.
Every day is a blessing, and I am excited about teaching Math and Science to
the fourth and fifth graders this year.
My mission is to provide a faith-filled positive learning environment
for the students entrusted to me this year. I will foster a learning
environment which focuses on cooperation and respect for each other. I will
model for my students the qualities of kindness, justice, and patience, and
expect them to demonstrate these qualities in their daily lives both at home
and at school.The mission of the class is to build skills in subject areas
and further their understanding of the Catholic faith.
