News Flash 4th/5th Homework

The birds should be singing now in your neighborhood. The students are showing a lot of effort in practicing and doing a great job! The 4th graders have to review the exercises on p.6 #2 & #4 and add new p. 7 #1 for class on Wednesday. May 30, 2012. They should always be using their Left hand first when playing the recorder. Also, say the syllable tu when blowing in the recorder to create the sound. If there are any questions please feel free to send me an email, so I may assist your child with this song before class on Wednesday. Thank you and enjoy!

All students in the 5th grade will no longer need to bring their recorders and books to music class. We are singing songs related to the Civil War and using our 5th grade music textbooks.

Monday and Tuesday are the regular 5th grade music classes and I will be assigning homework from Tuesday to Tuesday. I will go over the assignment in class and they will have to practice their songs. Please encourage practicing 2 times during the week for about 10-15 minutes. If your child is involved in activities after school, maybe the weekend is when they need to take time to practice. If they stay on task, and practice they will feel good about their accomplishment in music class. So, work hard, earn your grades and put in your best effort to stay in your extra-curricular activity. If there are any questions please feel free to look at the FAQ tab on the left for the 5th grade. Thank you, parents for your cooperation.
