Today the class went to the computer room and they did a new website (starfall.com) and they really enjoyed it.
It is a phonics website. They also worked on the letter /Pp/ and thought of words that started with that letter.
Thank you parents, that came out to the PTSA meeting tonight.

HAPPY NEW YEAR! We were so excited to see our friends back in school today. They all had a turn to talk about their christmas break. We have a new friend in the class, her name is Neslihan (Neslo), the girls took her under their wings and she had a great day and so did the girls. This week, we will be working on our short vowel sounds.

The children did a FANTASTIC JOB at the performance tonight. I am sooo proud of them. Tomorrow we will have pizza for lunch, no need to pay for pizza. On Wednesday, we will have our Christmas Party starting at 11:00, please come and celebrate with us. Also on Wednesday, school will be dismissed at 1:00 and after-care will NOT be available. We will return to school on January 9, 2012. I would like to wish all of you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

REMINDER: On Monday, December 19 is our Christmas Performance. Please have your child in the classroom no later than 5:30, so that you can go and find seating in the church. After we perform, we will dismiss to the back of the church and you can pick up your child and stay for the rest of the performance or you can leave. Dress code for the show is "Christmas attire" and we will be wearing santa hats, which I will provide.

I am sorry for not updating the teacher web, but I have been busy taking an online course to extend my certification. We are practicing being helpful and kind to our friend in the class.
The class is doing a fantastic job with their counting, In our daily count, we are up to the number 56, which is the amount of days that we have been in school so far. We are working of the letter /Hh/ and the number 14.
FRIENDLY REMINDER: Tomorrow the pre k 3 class is having a Tag Day for .50 cents. The theme is Patriotic colores, RED, WHITE AND BLUE.
Please remember that our day begins at 8:00. Please drop off your child in the front foyer or in the classroom and say your goodbyes' quickly because we have a busy schedule and we have to get out required minutes at the end of each day. I was told to close the door after announcements and parents were not allowed to be in the classroom after that time, because it is a distraction to the class.
