I have been teaching at Mater Academy since 2003, and have taught AP European
history for 8 years. In 2009 I achieved National Board Certified Teacher
status in High School Social Studies, becoming the second teacher in the
school to achieve this distinction. Also in 2009 I was award the Miami-Dade
Council for Social Studies High School teacher of the year award.
Recently I have been diagnosed with serious health issues, but I continue to
work and care deeply that my students do not suffer as a result of my
health. I set specific substitute work designed for the classes and the
topics we are studying.
Parents = please ensure that your child is completing work for my classes. I
am doing everything I can to ensure that their learning does not suffer, but
now I need your help to make sure that this happens.
