I am very happy to be teaching here at Miami Lakes K-8 Center. This will be
my seventeenth year teaching in both Miami-Dade and Broward County. I
have a Masters in Early Childhood Education from Florida International
University. My experience includes all grades from Kindergarten to Fourth
grade. My teaching certificate covers grades K-6 and I am ESOL endorsed. I
have two young boys, 8 and 6. My oldest presently attends Third grade at
Miami Lakes K-8 Center. My youngest also attends our school and is in the
First grade. I am looking forward to working closely with the children and
parents in achieving a successful school year.
My mission for the class consists of the following. I want a successful, yet
nurturing, environment in which each child can blossom into an independent
learner. Our class community must work together, help each other, and
celebrate each other's accomplishments. A positive attitude towards school
is one of the major keys to a child's success in school. I absolutely love
to learn and want to instill this love of learning into all of my students.
Parents and teachers must work together in achieving a fruitful and
rewarding school year for the child. Together, we CAN make a difference!
