I began teaching at Panther Run in 2000. Each day, I utilize my
creative, organizational, and technology skills to provide my students with a
quality education that meets their individual needs, builds their self-worth
and helps them to develop into enthusiastic and independent learners.

I am a native Floridian who loves the South Florida sun and surf. I was born
in Hialeah and began my formal education there. Then, my family relocated to
Pembroke Pines in 1980. At that time the only thing west of Flamingo Road was
the Everglades wildlife.

I attended Pines Middle School and then graduated from McArthur High School. I
graduated from Broward Community College with an Associates Degree in Mass
Communications and continued my education in Orlando. At the University of
Central Florida, I graduated with a degree in Business Administration and a
specialty in Hospitality Management.

After working in the special events industry, I taught adult education for
several years specializing in computers, desktop publishing, the internet and
web design. Because I enjoyed teaching so much, I decided to go back to school
for Elementary Education at Florida Atlantic University.

As a teacher, I am rewarded each day with the opportunity to share a love of
learning with students. Last year, I had the extreme pleasure of bring my own
daughter to Panther Run where she will be able begin her own exciting learning
experiences.

When I’m not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family traveling to local
spots of interest. I love cruising the Carribean and visiting Disney World. My
hobbies include reading, the computer arts, scrapbooking, music, completing
mazes and puzzles, coloring mandalas, and learning about new technologies.
