4th Quarter Already!!! We learned, we practiced, and now it's time to Conquer FCAT Testing April 16th thru the 25th. After testing I will continue with second conferences to see where students are academically and the enrichments and remediations in place. It is also important that students complete anyopen or unfinished technology: IXL, FCAT Explorer (Science, Math, and Reading), Florida Achieves (FOCUS), Riverdeep, Think Central/Soar to Success, First in Math.

For the 4th quarter students will be expose and begin preparing for 6th grade Math Skills. This will be a good time for students to utilize IXL 6th grade and even 7th grade skills. I really appreciate your donations to make IXL a part of our learning.

We will end the year learning about the human body. Students will become experts on the different functions and systems of the Human Body, as well as complete group challenges in HUMAN   BODY   SURVIVOR.

All students will get a chance to teach a Social Studies topic to the class. They will create a lesson plan to prepare for their lessons. For Language Arts, we will continue with our weekly grammar Pronouns, tested on every Wednesday, which will be incorporated into our weekly P.A.W. ( Paragraph-a- Week) assignments. Student will continue with business writing through a superhero thematic unit, fracture a fairy tale, and become journalist for a Nutrition/Fitness paper. As a true believer that literature awakens children to others and the universe we live in, for our final months we will partake in various literature books, this quarter we will read a Rick Rordain novel and Mr. Popper's Penguin with our literature circles.

Please continue to check our class website on a weekly parents so that you are aware of what's happening in our class. All students should be writing important date inside of their blue life touch calendar with improtant and test dates. And check the Florda Department of Education (fldoe.org) because there are new changes and updates to the FCAT 2.0.
