Welcome to 3rd Grade!
I am Ms. Bloomfield and I will be your teacher
for the 2011-2012 school year! I am looking forward to an amazing year in 3rd
grade! In order to get to know me a little better here is some information
about me...
I was born in Mt. Kisco, N.Y. and moved to south
Florida about 17 years ago with my family. I moved to the town of Coral
Springs, where I lived with my mother, father, and older brother, Matthew.
Later, I moved to Tallahassee and attended college at Florida State University.
There, I received my Bachelor's Degree in elementary education with ESOL endorsement.
I began teaching at PPCES in January of 2006. Since I have been at the charter
school I have taught 2nd grade for two years and this will be my 5th year
teaching 3rd grade. I have recently graduated with my Master's in Reading
Education from Barry University. There are so many new and interesting things
to learn, so this was an amazing experience for me. I look forward to pursuing
my Doctoral degree in the next few years.
I enjoy traveling, taking pictures, reading, and
going to the beach. I like to watch all sports, but my favorite is football!
During the fall I spend most Saturdays watching the Seminoles and most Sunday
watching the Dolphins! My favorite hobby is dancing. I have been taking ballet
and other dance classes since I was a child and continue to take classes every
now and again. I also enjoy working out and taking spin class with my fellow
teachers. Recently I started a collection of Pandora charms for my charm
bracelet. They are so cute!
I am really looking forward to a wonderful year.
I cannot wait to find out more information about my students like I have shared
with you!
Mission for the Class
I believe in making education fun and learning a
truly enjoyable adventure! It has been my experience that each child will have
their own unique learning style and my goal is for each child to leave my
class, not just prepared for the next grade, but as knowledgeable,
problem-solving, self-motivated thinkers. I want each child to feel a sense of
pride and accomplishment in the strides that they have made over the course of
the year.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any
questions, concerns or suggestions via email at jbloomfield@pinescharter.com
or through the front office at 954-443-4800. I look forward to working with all
of you. By working together, we can help your child have a very successful
year!
