S.A.F.A.R.I.
Notebooks
Our classroom theme for
the year is- "We're WILD About 1st Grade." Our organizational notebooks for
this year will be called S.A.F.A.R.I. notebooks, which is an acronym for
Students Accountable For All Responsibility and Independence. That's exactly
the purpose for these wonderful organizational tools, to help the children
become responsible and organized with all their learning. These notebooks will
hold everything needed to keep our families updated on classroom and school
events! This is what you will find in our S.A.F.A.R.I. Notebooks:
Zippered
Pencil Pouch -This
will be for transferring money back and forth from home to school. Money
should always be placed in an envelop labeled with your child's name on it and
the purpose of the money (lunch, field trips, book orders, etc) . I'm also
going to add a pencil pouch in the reading section. This will hold word cards.
Clear
Plastic Page Protectors-
The first will hold an explanation of the S.A.F.A.R.I. Notebook in the front
and our classroom/learning expectations on the back.
In
the second clear plastic protector will be a bi-weekly class newsletter in the
front and our classroom schedule on the back.
