Ponton's Pond - Leaping into 1st Grade!

Making a SPLASH in 1st Grade!

We have been busy getting to know each other in our new first grade classroom through class interviews and introductions. The interviews will be completed soon. Each day there is a different King or Queen of the Pond. They get to share 5 items they brought to school in their "Me Bags." Then, we ask them questions and record their answers on chart paper. Next, each child picks one of the facts we learned about the King/Queen, write the fact on a piece of paper and then illustrate the fact. They share these with the King/Queen and the papers are stapled together for the King/Queen to keep. I'll be posting them very soon, starting with their self-portraits.
