Here at Riverdale we use the Everyday Math curriculum for 1st grade. We start each day with a morning meeting that will focus on our calendar activities. Some of the things covered at Math Meetings include, days of the week, writing/saying the date, tally marks, numbers of days in school, place value, mystery number of the day, and estimation bags. We also have a daily graph that we complete and compare data. The children place their names by their answers as they enter the room.
