How can my child take an A.R. Test?

Students who are prepared to take an AR test need to bring an index card to
school with their name, the name of the book, and the author. If you know the
test number of the book you may also add that to the index card. Students
will take AR tests independently throughout the day. We do not need parental
assistance.

How are birthdays celebrated?

We will celebrate birthdays once a month. Typically it is the last Friday of
the month. The children with birthdays in that month will be assigned a
treat to provide. The treats need to be store bought and individually
wrapped. Be mindful of childrens allergies.

How can I help my child with his or her spelling?

Inventive Spelling is important, but this is a transitional year. Our goal
is that students master the list of High Frequency Words that was sent home.
Also, take the time to review words that are often spelled incorrectly on the
papers that are sent home in the Thursday Work Folder.
