NOTICE: There is a rehearsal scheduled for this afternoon for ALL Cast and Crew.   It was added on Monday due to the amount of absences we have had at rehearsals.   Looks like every disease known to man is sweeping through our school and forcing many to miss school and rehearsal.   Get well wishes to everyone and please use the time off during Spring Break to get yourself healthy. WE NEED YOU.
 

NOTICE: We will be having rehearsal on Sunday, April 15^th from 1 – 5 pm in the Gym.    We are vicariously running low on rehearsals and we still have a very long way to go. Please make every attempt to be there that day.

Please contact Becky Ciaponi if you would like to volunteer your time to sell tickets, work in the concession stand, help build sets, help with costumes before and after the show, etc.   We need all the help we can get.

WE NEED CREW MEMBERS!   If you were a crew member in the past, we are in desperate need of crew to help with the show. Thanks!

We are getting ever so close to our opening night and things are heating up. I have a few announcements and schedule updates:

There will be a rehearsal this afternoon from 4-6 pm in the Gym. I have been telling the Cast this since last Wednesday, but I was only able to update the schedule today.  

There will be a Cast choreography rehearsal on Thursday from 4-6 pm in the Music Room.  

On Sunday from 1-5pm we will have an ALL CAST AND CREW rehearsal.   Crew parents – please plan on having your son or daughter attend.   They will be needed at all upcoming rehearsals from that point on.

Dear Cast, Crew and Parents,

We open our production of The King and I in just under two months.   So far, we are progressing slowly, but we are progressing.    This will inevitably be one of the most lavish productions SJV has ever seen.   I encourage all of you to please start spreading the word!

When you look at the rehearsal schedule, you will see that our opportunities to work on the show are dwindling and we have an entire Spring Break in there as well.   That is why I humbly request that every effort is made to have your student attend rehearsal.    Yesterday, we had around 10 Players absent for various reasons and nearly shut down rehearsal.    We encourage them to do everything they can to stay healthy and fit and avoid bungee jumping or anything else that may cause physical harm as they understand they are a part of team that will only be successful if everyone is present.   I hold off on planning weekend rehearsals to the last minute and they are based on how much we get accomplished during the week.   

Thank you so much for the generosity of your time, your patience, letting me borrow your student(s) and to our many parents that offer their talents.   None of what the Players do would be possible without your support.   Those of you that are veteran Players parents, you’ve seen the payoff in our productions, awards and the growth of your child.   New parents – just wait.

Marianne Ferrara, our Art Director, has reached out to you looking for help with certain items for the show.   Please see what you can do to help. Also, you will be contacted for additional volunteer opportunities to see tickets, concessions and help with sewing costumes and building sets.
