Healthy Snack

 
      In our classroom, the students are allowed to bring a snack and a water bottle to school each day.  We don't have lunch until noon and the students tend to get hungry before then.  I have found that eating a healthy snack and drinking water throughout the day helps the students stay focused and energized.  I do ask that the snack be something that can be eaten with one hand.  Yogurts, apple sauce, dips, and other items that require a spoon or two hands would be much better for eating during lunch.  We have a busy schedule in our classroom, so the students need to continue working on assignments while eating their snack.  I found a neat link that mentions some great, healthy snack ideas.  Please check it out!
