Homework

Please check the homework section weekly for updates on assignments and/or projects that will need to be completed at home.  Weekly homework will go home every Friday and need to be returned the following Friday morning.  I prefer weekly homework over nightly because it gives the students a chance to manage their time.  Students will need to decide when the best time throughout the week will be to complete their work.  I know everyone has busy schedules with extracurricular activities, so this will hopefully make your week easier.

  • Spelling Words: There will be a spelling test on Thursday, November 19, 2009.  To help students study, I have attached all the words that will be on the test along with some challenge words.  If the students missed words from last week, they will need to continue studying those as well. Complete the attached page.
  • Cursive Handwriting:  Complete the attached page in your best cursive handwriting. Trace the words first and then copy them on the lines below.

  • FCAT Explorer:  This week, the students will be reading stories and answering questions on FCAT Explorer.  This is a great website for the students to play engaging games to prepare for the reading portion of the state test.  The students have been given a username and password to log onto this site.  It is in the front of their communication notebook.  To receive credit on this portion of the homework, you must login in to this website and complete the reading sessions.
