Message from the Principal

Principal Photo
Welcome to the 2011-2012 school year! As your principal, I will continue to focus on the academic and social needs of each individual child. I believe that we must always challenge each other to improve in all areas in order to achieve our best. I also believe that working cooperatively toward a common goal is the most beneficial approach to teaching and learning. I am looking forward to working alongside you to keep Springwood a successful school!

I encourage you to contact me with your concerns and suggestions. You can easily reach me by e-mail, or by calling or dropping by the front office. I’d also like to encourage you to visit our school website where you can join our listserv and stay informed about the latest happenings here at Springwood.

Our theme this year is “T.E.A.M. - Together Everyone Achieves More”. Please volunteer and become a part of our effort!

IMPORTANT Summer Camp UPDATE

Springwood will not be offering a summer camp this year. Astoria Park Elementary has graciously agreed to accept our students into their summer program and we plan to send one of our staff members to Astoria Park who knows our students in order to ease the transition for them. For additional information, please visit Astoria Park’s EDEP website at
