Today the children took the reading test and read silently. They made
chocolate chip cookies and practiced on the abacus. The students had a
medical guest speaker and participated in current events.
*Your child must wear their regular school uniform on Valentine’s Day.

*Our new book for book club should be brought in to class by now.
The new book is Burton and Stanley by Frank O’Rourke.
**The next Social Studies unit will be on the United States Presidents. Each
student will be assigned a President to research and create a poster. We
will also be having a "mock" election. A letter was sent home with this
information.
**The President project presentations will be on February 23rd and 24th.
Each child was assigned a specific presentation day. Please refer to the
bulletin board in the classroom for your child's presentation day.
**We are also doing current events this quarter. Please refer to the note
sent home.
*Mark your calendars on May 20th for the Science Fair and the
Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Grade Performances at UCF.
