WHAT WILL WE BE LEARNING AND DOING IN CLASS THIS WEEK?
Family Tree Project are due on November 30th, this assignment went home today in their agendas
Afterschool tutoring: Monday and Thursday for Reading.Tuesday for Math.
Spelling/Voc - Students can log into http://www.spellingcity.com/sunny-isles-beach-community-school-sunny-isles-beach-fl.html at this site students can play games and do activities with their spelling/vocabulary words.
Students were given a username/password for www.ticketoread.com and www.fcatexplorer.com, we are using these program in school but students are also asked to log in from home at least twice a week.
READING :
The students will monittor and clarify their reading as well as infer information from the story or passage. Focus Skill of the week - Main Idea/Supporting Details. Students are required to complete their Spelling contract. Reading Log are to be kept on a daily basis. Please help your child complete all of their assignments.
* Students received their AR books they will need to read the books and be prepared to take an AR test. They will need to earn 8 -10 points every nine weeks.
MATH:
Chapter 7, Students will be able to identify, describe and apply division and multiplication as inverse operation. MAA.3.2.1/ MA.A.3.2.3 , Student will be able to solve real world problems using appropriate methods of computing, such as mental mathematics, paper, and pencil and calculate.
SCIENCE:
The students will be able to compare materials and objects according to properties such as size, shape, color, texture and hardness. Students will know that the weight of an object is equal to the sum of the weight of its parts. Assessemnt will be on Friday, November 20th
Social Studies: The student will be able to identify ordinary people who exemplify good citizenship.
