Congratulations to Martin!! He won the Sunny Isles Beach Elementary Spelling Bee!! He will be representing our school at the Scripps Spelling Bee in February!
 
Special School Announcements:
***This weekend, 4 of our students will participate in Math Bonanza. they will represent our school well!! Congrats to Nick, Daniel, Danielle, and Brandon for being selected.
*** Thursday, November 19th is PTA Family Night at Tony Roma's. Please support our school! this includes take-out! Make sure to mention our school and class name if ordering!!!
*** PTA is selling Science Fair Project Boards for $6.00. Get your boards and help the PTA!!
***PTA is sponsoring the Scholastic Book Fair which is going on until Friday 11/20
*** PTA is sponsoring Moms and Muffins on November 20th. Please be there to support our PTA.
*** Our class has been assigned to bring Pies to build Thanksgiving Baskets! Please send the Pies in on Wednesday, November 25th, ONLY!
***The student government is sponsoring a Can Food/Non-perishable food drive to benefit STOP Hunger.Org. Please send in your can goods through Friday, 11/20!
***The Student government is also having the 2nd annual Seahawk Book Drive, beginning Monday, November 23rd through Dec. 16th. Please send in your old books that can be used in our classroom libraries here at SIB.
***We are still collecting funds via adoptaclassroom.org. Thanks to those who have donated! We are getting close to ordering!
***Please ensure that all of the students have their supplies!! Some students need to be replenished!!!
*** Many of our students have been sick in the past few weeks. We have been cleaning and washing hands ALL DAY LONG!! Please continue healthy habits at home to keep our student healthy! Remember to keep your child home if they have a fever and/or are not feeling well enough to do work. It seems to be getting better.
 
Class Announcements:
** Our intern, Mr. Galo's last day will be on December 4th. We have enjoyed working with him and will miss him!!!
** Please make sure that your student is working on their Science Fair Project. It is due on December 1st. They can be turned in early.
**Keep up with the Reading Logs!! They are due on November 30th!
**In Math, we will be working on Fractions, Decimals and Percents. Please work with your child and make sure they are completing all their assignments. In Science, we will be working on Chapter 6, Animal Habitats and Changes.
 **Continue working on AR and READ!
