Special School Announcements:
*** Please ensure that your student has a copy of My Brother Sam is Dead by James Lincoln Collier. We have started the book and some students still need a copy.
*** PTA is selling Science Fair Project Boards for $6.00. Get your boards and help the PTA!!
***PTA is sponsoring the Scholastic Book Fair beginning on November 16th. Please look for the fliers!!
*** PTA is sponsoring Moms and Muffins on November 20th. Please be there to support our PTA.
***We are still collecting funds via adoptaclassroom.org. Thanks to those who have donated! We are getting close to ordering!
***I would like to recognize some students from our classroom!!
               - Hispanic Food Essay Contest Winner- Franz A.
               - Our Spelling Bee Representative is Martin M. He will represent our
               class in the school Spelling Bee on November 13th. (Our runners up were                 Jesus C. and Danielle O.)
               -The top students for our Interim Assessments were:
                     Reading-Isaac, Felipe, Adam, Rafaela, Nicholas
                     Math- Gaby (100%), Danielle, Felipe,Daniel, Brandon
                     Science- Isaac, Felipe, Danielle, Adam, Shelly

***Please ensure that all of the students have their supplies!! Some students need to be replenished!!!
*** Many of our students have been sick in the past few weeks. We have been cleaning and washing hands ALL DAY LONG!! Please continue healthy habits at home to keep our student healthy! Remember to keep your child home if they have a fever and/or are not feeling well enough to do work. It seems to be getting better.
*** Family Fun Night at Papa Johns will take place on 11/5. Please let them know that you are ordering from our school and class, so we can win a Pizza Party!
*** Fifth, Sixth and Seventh Grade FCAT parent night will take place on Tuesday, November 17th. Fliers coming soon!
***Student Government will begin their annual Book Drive on November 24th. Please begin to collect any old (but like new) books that we can collect and donate to classrooms in our school.

Class Announcements:
** Please make sure that your student is working on their Science Fair Project. It is due on December 1st. They can be turned in early.
**Keep up with the Reading Logs!! They are due on November 30th!
**In Math, we will be working on Fractions, Decimals and Percents. Please work with your child and make sure they are completing all their assignments. In Science, we will be working on Chapter 10, Earth's Resources. Test next week.
** We have enjoyed sharing our family histories and artifacts! Please continue to ensure that your student completes all parts of this Family tree project.
