About The Teacher

Welcome to our class webpage!!! :) I am sure that you might have some
questions that you would like to ask me. Hopefully I will be able to answer a
few of them. Here are some things that I would like for you to know about me.

I graduated from Nova Southeastern University with a bachelor’s degree
in Elementary Education with an ESOL endorsement. I am working on my Masters
Degree in Reading.

I have been teaching for 12 years now. I taught 5 years in Dade County
Public Schools and this is my 7th year in Broward County Public Schools.
Throughout these years, I have taught second, third, fourth, and fifth
grades. Third and fourth grade are my favorite grades to teach. I am married
to a detective named Marc, I have a 8 year old son named Ryan who loves
to discover and learn new things, and Camila that is now 9 months old. I love
to travel with my
family, go to the
movies, and spend relaxing time at home (when possible). I have no pets at my
house, however, my parents have quite a few. They have four horses and a
black Labrador named Sammy. Ryan and I love to spend the afternoons playing
with all of them.

I enjoy helping students be the best that they can be. I have high
expectations for my students and I know that they can reach their highest
potential putting forth maximum effort. I expect all class work and
homework to be turned in on time and students to be at their very best
behavior.

Mission For The Class

My mission for this class is to develop their learning skills to their
highest potential and to motivate my students to be the best that they can
possibly be. I plan to address all of my student’s academic needs and
interests while creating a positive and assuring learning environment.
Throughout the year, I will enjoy watching them develop academically,
socially, and a love for learning. Students will participate in project based
learning and will acquire the skills needed to work cooperatively. Class
activities will be focused on higher order thinking skills. I will also
promote respect, responsibility, and accountability in order for students
to be successful.
