What is Odyssey of the Mind?

OM is a creative problem solving competetion. This is the 29th year for Florida
anniversary of Florida Odyssey. Surfside has sent two teams to the OM
World Finals in 2002 and 2003.
In 2011, SMS had a team placing 3rd at state. They were World Alternates!

What are PRE-AP/Advanced classses?

The classes are composed of gifted and talented, highly motivated 
students that enter AP programs in high school.

It is a wheel elective for the gifted 6th, 7th, and 8th graders.
