Dear Families,
Welcome to Kindergarten at Tatum Ridge. My name is
Susan Marsh and I will be your child’s kindergarten teacher. I would like
to take a moment to tell you a little bit about myself. I have been
teaching in Sarasota County for eighteen years.
I graduated with a degree in education from Eastern Michigan
University. I earned my masters in education from National Louis
University. My husband is a fourth grade teacher here
at Tatum Ridge. We have three wonderful children. Our oldest is an eighth
grader, our middle child is entering seventh grade, and the youngest will be
in fifth grade.
I am very excited to be working with you and your child.
My mission is to provide my students with a happy successful
kindergarten experience as we meet all the goals of the Sarasota
County kindergarten curriculum. My challenge is to transfer my love of
learning to the children I teach. I deliver the curriculum through direct
instruction, small groups, cooperative learning, and hands on
experience. Many opportunities are provided to ensure a child's feeling
of accomplishment through a developmentally appropriate curriculum. I
see each day as one of endless possibilities for my class and myself.
