I have been a teacher at VABHOE for over 16 years and have been teaching in
Dade County for almost 27 years.
Much of my teaching career has been in Kindergarten but I am extremely excited
about my move to second grade! I look forward to working with you and your child.
My theme this year will is "Be good to people". Throughout the year we will
be discussing what we can do to "be good to people". It is important that
children learn (at an early age) how to be good to others. I hope that you
(the parents) will help the children practice this behavior at home. It is
important that we set good examples for our children by "being good to
others."
I also hope to help make each student become the best person they can be.
Not everyone will be the "best" reader or the "best" at solving problems.
That's okay! As long as your child knows that they are "special" and they
are "important", they will be the "best" at life.
As an educator, I am firm but fair. In order for learning to take place, all
students must work cooperatively with their classmates (and their teacher).
I know that your child will help to make our classroom a positive learning
environment.
