Students just finished reading "The Serial Garden" on page 440 of our
textbook. This week they will be creating their own cereal boxes according
to a rubric I've given them. Their box will have to have a cereal name and
slogan, title and problem, characters and brief descriptions of the
characters, and a drawing of the place the want to come alive. This is the
last grade for this 9 weeks and is worth 50 points.
Beginning next week we will begin background work on the Great Depression in
preparation for the reading of the novel Bud, Not Buddy.
