SMS Winter Concert
Thursday, December 15 at 7pm
SMS Cafeteria
Students should report to the Orchestra Room (302) at 6:30pm. Students
should be dressed in their SMS "Polo" shirts, black pants and dress shoes.
Our orchestra students have been working really hard on their concert music.
We are looking forward to a great show!!
Mr. John Kendall has taught in the public school setting for 12 years.
10 of those years at SMS. Prior to this he served as a collegiate music
instructor and elementary music specialist. Mr. Kendall holds a Bachelor of
Music degree from the Berklee College of Music, Boston, Ma. and a Master of
Music degree from the New England Conservatory of Music, Boston,Ma.
Mr. Kendall teaches Guitar and String Orchestra classes at SMS. In
addition to instruction on these instruments, Mr. Kendall places great
importance on helping each student develop his/her musical creativity
through musical composition and improvisation.
The Goal of the SMS Music Department is to develop life long independent
learners of music and provide a nurturing environment where each child's
creativity and originality can flourish.
ATTENTION ALL ORCHESTRA AND GUITAR STUDENTS:
Mr. Kendall is available daily from 8:45 until 9:15 for extra help and
practice.
