After careful consideration, I have decided not to include grammar on the quiz this Friday.
We will be completing Forged by Fire on Thursday, and students will take the assessment on Friday for the final chapters. We need to complete Operation Redwood prior to the author visit on May 30th, so that will be where we aim our focus next.
Please don't forget that the week of the 29th will be class time to work on Forged by Fire projects!
Wednesday, May 16, 2012
Due to my absences on Monday and Tuesday of this week, I will be adjusting the quiz on Friday to only encompass the reading of Forged by Fire; I will review the punctuation students practiced this week on Friday after the quiz and that content will be added to the final quiz next Friday.

Today students were provided with a calendar for the remainder of the school year that includes: Chapters of Forged by Fire we are reading by day, Grammar practice we are completing by day, and the dates of assessments on both. On the back of the calendar is the list of project options for Forged By Fire. Each student must select one and turn it in no later than June 1, 2012. If you are going to be taking your child out of school prior to June 1st, please remember that this project is due prior to the student leaving. If your child is absent, please refer to the calendar to see what work needs to be made up.
Copies of the calendar and the project list are posted on the documents page.
