coordinate special week of activities for 5th grade students in
the spring
Family Festival-
help plan and work the Family Festival in the spring
Fun Run- help
with the fund raiser in the fall
Original Works–
process, tally and distribute order forms and original works orders in the
winter
Reflections –
in the fall, assist in organizing entries of student created original works of
art in four areas: literature, music
composition, photography and visual arts
Special Events (a
few times a year)
Helping Hands-
help with school charitable events/ drives for the benefit of others in our
community
All Pro Dads–
help plan and run morning meetings for fathers at the school
PTA Coffees-
coordinate and promote two (school time) talks on topics affecting our
students today
Book Fair –help
decorate and work the fall and spring book fairs
Staff Appreciation
– coordinate and organize special surprises and treats for the staff
Special
Projects-assist in completing tasks specific to special issues that
arise
Spirit Wear–
sell school spirit wear at various events throughout the year
Monthly Activities
(once month, or a few times each month)
PALS- make
photocopies and die cuts for teachers and PTA committees
Media Center–
assist library staff
Each One Teach One
– assist with academic enrichment programs (Math and Reading)
Yearbook– take
and collect pictures, proofread and sell/distribute yearbooks at the end of
year
Green School-
assist in making AHE an environmentally friendly school
Outdoor Classroom-
assist teachers with hands-on science lessons in the Outdoor Classroom
Publicity– help
write and submit press releases about events for the local paper
FIT Jaguar–
work with parents, staff, teachers, and community to promote healthy habits
and school wellness for the children
