Lizzie Haber: Hi, my name is Lizzie Haber and I am in my 12th year teaching.
I have been at Autrey Mill since we opened our doors and have loved every
minute of it! I am originally from Bournemouth, England so you may hear your
child start to speak strangely at home trying to imitate me. I have been
married for 6 years and Mitch and I are the proud parents of a 2½ year old
daughter called Olivia. She is such an easy child and has already travelled
to 3 continents in her short life! We are pleased to announce that we are
also expecting a second daughter November 25th. I plan to take 12 weeks
maternity leave and be back to help the children prepare for the CRCT’s!
I have taught in both the private and public school settings and hold a
Masters Degree in Education.
Kathleen Outlaw: I’m thrilled to begin my 7th year of teaching……..and proud
to be a part of the Lion family!!!! I am the a mother of 2 amazing boys, one
of which is an Autrey Mill alumni This summer we added to our family with
the adoption of a 4 year old long hair Chihuahua! My path to teaching started
with an undergraduate degree in psychology, a masters in social work, and
post masters work in education. I feel truly lucky to be doing what I love
everyday and to have the opportunity to engage in an exchange of learning
with both students and staff. I’m looking forward to another super successful
year for all our students!!
Leslie Samford: As an educator, I believe that I should encourage your child
to reach his or her highest academic potential. I hope to accomplish this by
working collaboratively with both my students’ parents and my colleagues. It
is my goal to introduce the curriculum in diverse ways, in order to meet the
needs of every student in my classroom. I am the mother of three children and
the grandmother of four. I attended Auburn University and received my
Bachelor of Science degree in Education at the University of North Carolina
in Greensboro. In 2004, I earned my Masters in Education from Georgia State
University. I am certified in all subject areas and am endorsed in gifted
education. I have taught in Fulton County for the past 21 years . This is my
7th year at Autrey Mill. While at AMMS, I have served on the Local School
Advisory Board, Geography Bee Committee, Fulton County Vertical Team, and as
the Relay Life Co-chairman. I am currently the 7th grade advisor for Student
Council and am the Galileo Team Leader. I look forward to a wonderful year
with your student.
Marisa Wesker: This will be my fourth year at AMMS and I love being a Lion!
Teaching is a true passion of mine and I feel lucky to work with wonderful
students and teachers each year. In addition to teaching, I coach
football/competition cheerleading at Johns Creek High School. I attended the
University of Michigan for my undergraduate degree in history (I’m an avid
fan!) and then Georgia State University for my Master’s in Education. My
husband and I are proud puppy parents to two adorable long-haired miniature
dachshunds named Wally and Daisy. I’m looking forward to another great year
at the Mill!
Students will understand the development of cultural, economic, and political
systems in Asia, Africa and the Middle East during the twentieth century.
