I believe that inside the walls of a great school is a community of life-
long learners. Learning is a shared experience. Students are engaged with
rigorous learning, but teachers are learners too; they are constantly
reflecting on ways to increase student achievement. Teachers not only have
high expectations of their students, but of themselves as well.
I believe that education is a partnership between the school, teacher,
parents, and student. All are important in the overall well-being and
success of each student. When all stakeholders acknowledge this, each student
is guaranteed a positive educational experience.
I believe that establishing trust and building relationships among all
stakeholders is crucial. A positive classroom / school environment exists
when there is mutual respect of one another. Though we are all individuals,
we function better as part of a larger team.
I believe that all students can succeed at high levels of expectations when
given the proper resources, instruction, and guidance. Hard work is
acknowledged and successes should be celebrated!
